Warehouse ManagementSM - WMS
Manage warehouse locations and control inventory.
NTE Warehouse Management provides flexible location management and storage definition capabilities, allowing precise control of inventory across multiple customers, suppliers, warehouses, and distribution centers. Integration with warehouse storage systems allows seamless automation of inventory movement. Integration with external third party systems provides a virtual warehouse view of a customer’s inventory.
Business Process
Receive Inventory - The starting point for the NTE WMS system begins with receiving shipments/Put Away client process. The system allows the WMS manager/staff member to accept inbound shipments to the warehouse and process the receipt of these shipments with full audits of the responsible parties. Once a shipment is received, the warehouse manager can inventory the shipment thus inventorying all SKU material items. WMS managers can determine at the ITEM (SKU) level how the receipt process flows. For instance, some items might not require LOT identification where other items would. The adaptability of the NTE WMS system allows the warehouse manager to make these decisions.
Inventory Planning - At the heart of the NTE WMS system, inventory items are uniquely defined. Each customer of the system defines one or more item catalogs. Each catalog can have one or more vendors and each vendor can define their own reference numbers. This flexible system allows the warehouse manager to uniquely control each inventoried item. Replenishment definitions are unique to each item for each customer in a warehouse. This allows the warehouse manager to give control to his customers where needed. He can also define virtual warehouses such that he can control the items in mobile or 3PL warehouses that are beyond his control.
Pick Inventory - Inventoried items in the NTE WMS system can be pulled and used to build orders to ship, cross dock, zone pick, Batch pick, Kitting etc. Labor efficiency is gained with mobile Bar Code or RFID solutions, with integrated RF or voice pick capability. These consignments can then be sent to NTE Transportation Management or other client specific modules for optimization and execution as outbound shipments from the warehouse. The NTE WMS system can be configured to initiate item replenishment strategies depending on client configuration. Item replenishment might call for items to be transferred from another location within the warehouse to the pick location OR the generation of an additional PO to the vendor or another warehouse.
